WEST MICHIGAN (WKZO) — It looks like that “Saskatchewan Screamer” will hardly make a wimper in West Michigan.
Forecasters have now retreated from their predictions of up to half a foot of new snow, and now says just an inch of flurries will fall south of I-94 and just a dusting of snow will occur north of the highway.
However, they are predicting the same clipper system will create blizzard like conditions in the northeastern U.S. It could be the worst winter storm in New York City history with up to three feet of snow predicted. Stores shelves have been left bare as millions prepare to be trapped in their homes. and airlines are already offering free flight transfers anticipating that most of the airports on the East Coast could be closed. .
There will be nothing like that around here. It will bring breezy conditions and colder temperatures to the area Sunday and as the work week gets underway but roads should be clear.
