KALMAZOO (WKZO) — A little Kalamazoo Girl is being called a hero for getting help for her mother when she needed it most.
Centerria Manning suffered an epileptic seizure on Wednesday at home alone with only 4-year-old Calise at home with her.
Complicating the situation was that she was in her ninth month of pregnancy.
That’s when Calise went into action, getting her mother’s smart phone and dialing 9-1-1, moving her mother onto her side as directed and letting emergency personnel in when they arrived.
Friday Brother TJ was born at the Borgess Family Birthing Center.
They had practiced emergency situations and what Calise should do, but with a four year old, you can never be certain that they will be able to handle a crisis. In this case she did.
