PACIFICA (WKZO) –A Muskegon Heights native who has spent most of the last several decades in prison on unrelated charges is accused of being the “Gypsy Hill Killer” who terrorized the town of Pacifica, California in 1976.
66-year-old Rodney Halbower was linked to the rape and murder of two teenage girls in 1976 by DNA evidence.
The deaths of three other girls between January and April of 1976 remain under investigation.
All happened in Pacifica, a beach town located roughly 15 miles south of San Francisco.
