DETROIT (WKZO) — Former Detroit Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr has been named an adviser to Atlantic City’s new emergency manager.
On Thursday, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie issued an executive order appointing Kevin Lavin as the city’s E-M. Christie’s office says Orr will serve as special counsel to Lavin. Bill Nowling, who was a spokesman for Orr during his time in Detroit, says Orr had no interest in taking charge in Atlantic City, a little over a month after finishing his work with Detroit’s bankruptcy.
