GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) — A new study from the Brookings Institution finds the Grand Rapids metro area had the ninth-fastest growing economy in the country in 2014.
Compared to the 300 largest cities in the world, Grand Rapids comes in 69th for how quickly the economy is growing. Employment in the state’s second-largest city was up 3.3-percent from 2013 to 2014.
The Brookings Institution describes Grand Rapids as being “partially recovered” from the recession.
