MUSKEGON HEIGHTS (WKZO) — A Muskegon Heights native who has spent most of the last several decades in prison is accused of being the “Gypsy Hill Killer” in California. KNTV reports 66-year-old Rodney Halbower was charged with the rapes and murders of two teenage girls in 1976.
DNA evidence linked him to the two crimes, and the deaths of three other girls between January and April of 1976 remain under investigation. All happened in Pacifica, a beach town located roughly 15 miles south of San Francisco.
