HARTFORD (WKZO) — It can be tough to be a criminal in a small town where everyone knows your business and everyone knows what looks out of place.
All it took for a 20-year-old Hartford man to get arrested was to be seen, “lingering around the Dollar General store” in Hartford around 11:30 p.m. on a cold winter night.
He is behind bars awaiting arraignment on drug and concealed weapons-related charges.
Van Buren County deputies confronted the man asking him if he had any drugs or weapons. He said ‘no”, but a search found a bag of meth, a semi-automatic pistol and a knife.
The charges the man will face have not been released by police, and he remains in the Van Buren County Jail pending his arraignment.
