OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP (WKZO) — An unusual bank robber who may have been on oxygen at the time of the heist, is being sought after a hold up Wednesday morning at the Fifth Third Bank at 6040 Stadium Drive in Oshtemo Township.
The robbery occurred just after 10 a.m. wenesday. The robber was wearing a surgical mast and a long grey wig under a Baseball Cap that read “Golf Florida”.
He told tellers to call him “Mr. Anderson” and stated that he was moving to Florida. He claimed to have a bomb and demanded they hand over the money.
He was also carrying two bags, one for the money and the second holding what may have been an oxygen tank.
There was also a tube heading under the mask and he said he was sick. He was also wearing a dark jacket, dark pants and black boots. He was about 6-foot tall.
He escaped on foot along Stadium to Meridan and Sunset St. where the K-9 lost the scent. He may have had a getaway car parked there.
