SOUTH HAVEN (WKZO) — We have seen a lot of videos lately showing police engaged in violent behavior, often directed at violators who did not disserve the treatment.
South Haven officials say this time the video exonerates their officers.
The city was recently slapped with a federal lawsuit by a driver who says he was roughed up during a traffic stop in July of 2013.
The department says they had already expunged the dash cam video from their central system, but found a copy in their training division.
It shows the plaintiff, Michael Kinney, yelling at officers and refusing to cooperate.
They say they had been using the video in training to show how officers should act in difficult situations.
