KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO) — Charges have been issued against a homeless man who broke into a home where five women were staying, early Saturday and tried to rob them at knifepoint, allegedly sexually assaulting one of them.
The Prosecutors office has issued warrants charging 21-year-old Kendall Marcel Williams-Johnson with felonious assault, first degree home invasion, second degree criminal sexual conduct and assault with a dangerous weapon.
The woman he tried to rape suffered a slight gash on the hand, a defensive wound.
He was arraigned and bond was set at $50,000 dollars.
One of the women barricaded herself in a bathroom and called 9-1-1.
Township Police were able to take the suspect into custody when he smashed his way out a second story window and tried to escape.
