DEARBORN (WKZO AM/FM) — As we reported last week, gas prices are dropping and various sources say they will likely continue to fall through the end of the year.
AAA-Michigan reports that they have fallen another 10 cents in the past week and 41-cents in the last month and a half due mainly to crude oil prices dropping to the low $60 per barrel range.
Oil Analyst Phil Flynn says it has not yet reached bottom, and could once again sink to around $2/gallon in the oil patch and in the southern states.
AAA says it could fall another 10 to 20 cents here in the Midwest.
While the average price in Michigan is currently $2.61/gallon, it was not difficult in Kalamazoo to find gas stations selling self-serve regular for 20-cents less.
