KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- It's time to start signing up for Kalamazoo Valley's Cougar Camps. KVCC Athletic Director Russ Panico says that the camps cater to fans of a variety of sports, including baseball, volleyball, and basketball. He says they're a great way to keep the kids occupied during the summer.
"This is our third year for offering five camps," Panico told WKZO. "We have the boys and girls basketball camps, which have been going on here for decades, and three years ago, we added baseball, softball, and volleyball. Those camps have been growing each year, and you shouldn't wait until the last minute. We have registration deadlines, and you actually get a little break on price if you register by a certain date."
Panico says that Cougar Camps can help a young person develop individual skills, while emphasizing the importance of team work, discipline, and sportsmanship. You can register online at Athletics.KVCC.edu .
