DETROIT (WKZO) -- General Motors will pay a 35-million dollar fine over its recalls of millions of cars and trucks.
The automaker has entered into a consent decree with the government to pay the fine. GM has been struggling to deal with a widespread problem involving faulty ignition switches. The defective switches have been linked to more than a dozen deaths.
This week, GM announced five new recall campaigns covering nearly three-million vehicles over problems with brakes and tail lights.
