KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The Kalamazoo County Board Awarded contracts for construction of their new 25-million dollar family court facility, which will be built next to the New Juvenile home along Gull Road across the Street from Borgess Hospital.
Last night they started approving contracts with builders and soil testing firms to get the project underway.
The 85-thousand square foot, three story building will have 4 courtrooms and five hearing rooms and allow the county to consolidate family and probate courts in one location.
If all goes as plan, it will be ready for use at the end of next year or in January of 2016.
Its all be funded by savings, court revenues and existing funds.
