HOLLAND (WKZO) -- One of the biggest festivals in West Michigan is underway with the start of Tulip Time in Holland over the weekend. Marketing director Susan Zalnis says the cool weather didn't dampen anyone's spirits, and the tulips are in great shape.
Every year, more than 500-thousand people from around the world come to Holland for Tulip Time. The event serves as the start of the tourist season for the community, and is an annual way to honor the Dutch heritage of Ottawa County and a large portion of West Michigan.
Tulip Time runs through Saturday.
