KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A major meth raid on a home in the 31-hundred block of Pitcher Street in Kalamazoo Township has resulted in ten arrests and more charges may be coming.
Chief Tim Bourgeois says he put together a team of 18-officers to conduct the raid Wednesday afternoon, after learning that the home was a suspected drug house.
There were 14 people in and around the home as officers approached the home just after 4 p.m.
They found three active meth labs and a shotgun inside.
Two of them fled on foot and had to be tracked down with K-9’s. Seven of the suspects were already wanted on outstanding warrants. One was arrested for violating probation, another for resisting arrest and being a felon in possession of a gun.
A tenth suspect was arrested for possession of meth and marijuana.
Child Protective Services removed an infant from the home and handed the baby off to a relative, while they investigate the parent.
More charges and more arrests will follow, once the meth investigation is complete. .
