Congressional candidate Brian Ellis launches his first TV ad

GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- Congressional candidate and businessman Brian Ellis has just launched his first television ad campaign and it was targeted directly at Congressman Justin Amash.

The political ad claims that Amash voted for the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act, which came up in congress in 2002.

The bill would have made it a crime to perform an abortion based simply on the gender of the child.

The ad goes on to say that Right to Life called Amash’s vote “Shameful”.

Amash’s campaign staff calls the ad "despicable, disgusting and beyond the pale", calling it a distortion of Amash’s position. They say he is 100% against abortion.

Ellis spent about 75-thousand on the campaign which will run on local TV stations for the next two weeks.
