COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP (WKZO) -- Not everyone gets run over by a car and lives to tell about it, but a Comstock man will be able to make that claim.
Kalamazoo Sheriffs Deputies say 52-year-old Lloyd Dehollander was walking along Abbey St. East of River right around 8:30 Saturday evening when he slipped and fell into the roadway in front of a car and was struck.
They say it appeared that Dehollander was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
He was loaded into an ambulance and taken to Bronson Hospital where he was treated and released.
The 46-year-old driver of the car was also from Comstock.
