COVERT (WKZO) -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is finding there are still problems with the safety culture at the Palisades nuclear plant in Covert Township.
A report released Thursday shows employees are worried about confidentiality when reporting safety issues through the Employee Concerns Program. Those workers are tending to stay quiet to avoid any retaliation.
The NRC looked into the issues after hearing of concerns that suggested a "chilled work environment." Regulators have given Palisades officials a plan to make more progress, and they'll check back again on what's been done in May.
