Governor Rick Snyder traveled to Oshtemo Friday night to be the Keynote Speaker of the 119th Annual Kalamazoo County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner.
Some paid as much as $300 a plate to attend the dinner and speech at Pines West on 11th St.
It was part pep talk and part campaign speech as Snyder ran down his list of successes and achievements in the last four years, including balancing the budget, improving the jobs picture and the environment for business.
He also outlined goals he still has, like job creation and better worker training.
County Republicans were greeted as they arrived by about three dozen protestors, who agree that the Governor has accomplished a lot, but it wasn’t for the poor and middle class.
That may just may sum up this year’s Governor’s race.
