KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The Kalamazoo School Board will vote tonight on its budget for the coming year. It's due in Lansing by July first.
The 135 million dollar proposed budget spends about one and a half percent more than last year. District leaders had hoped to be able to spend more, but eleventh hour adjustments had to be made when the state legislature decided to boost per pupil spending by just 50 dollars per student.
Tonight’s school board meeting begins at 7 PM at the Kalamazoo Public Schools Administration Building on Howard Street.
