KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Western Michigan University will be getting a new 800 thousand dollar scoreboard. The high tech scoreboard will be installed at University Arena this year. According to MLive, the goal is to have it installed in time for the fall, so that basketball and volleyball fans can expect to see themselves projected on the board's large video screens. The university received an anonymous donation of one million dollars last year for improvements at Lawson and University Arenas, but that didn't quite cover the cost of the new scoreboard. The athletic department had to do a little extra fundraising to collect the money for it.
