PORTAGE (WKZO) -- There will once again be a Taste of Portage event this summer. Portage Mayor Pete Strazdas says that the Taste of Portage was expected to go away as the city discontinued its Summer Entertainment Series, but someone else has picked up the baton for that event.
"We're working with the Portage Athletic Foundation and all of their volunteers," Strazdas told WKZO. "They are going to put on the Taste of Portage, so the Taste of Portage lives. It's going to be a larger event and an all day event. They are going to have a bike in for free, a kids zone, a people's choice award, a teste event, and a meet the athletes event."
So, the Taste of Portage is set for July 19th at the Donald E Overlander Bandshell. On hand will be a variety of food vendors and Latitude 42 brewery to provide beer. You can find out more at TasteofPortage.com .
