KALAMAZOO COUNTY (WKZO)-- A Pavilion Township woman is being treated for injuries after the catastrophic failure of a one-pot meth lab left her suffering chemical burns.
Kalamazoo County Deputies responded after they got a call from an EMS crew that they were treating the woman, who turned out to be uncooperative with deputies.
When the first deputy rolled up to her home in the 53-hundred block of Pavilion Drive just before 9 a.m. Saturday, he spotted four men at the rear of the home and another subject carrying what appeared to be a meth lab to the front of the home.
They all fled in different directions, escaping before other deputies and Portage Public Safety officers arrived.
Once the deputies were able to enter the home, they found three active meth cooks, and the contaminated remains of half a dozen other meth labs.
Deputies are preparing a request for charges against the injured woman and several others involved in the operation.
