MARSHALL (WKZ0) -- They have broken ground in Marshall for a new first-of-its kind joint police Headquarters.
It will house the city’s Public Safety Department, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies and State Police troopers.
It will make it easier for detectives to share information, and they plan to have one evidence facility, which will be managed by the State Police. Its taken 4-years to assemble the 12-million in funding from the three governments to get it off the ground.
They still have to build it.
They are calling it the Marshall Regional Law Enforcement Center and it should be open by late next year.
