MASON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a motorcycle-involved traffic crash sent two people to the hospital Sunday.
Police say that just after 1 p.m., deputies were called to Mason Road, east of Calvin Center in Mason Township.
27-year-old Constantine resident Adrian Black was driving his motorcycle westbound on Mason Street when 30-year-old Stephanie Wolkins of Cassopolis, who also was traveling westbound, turned left into her driveway.
The crash happened when Black tried to pass on the left. He hit Wolkins’s vehicle and was thrown to the ground, along with his passenger, 47-year-old Sabrina Porter of Sturgis.
Both Porter and Black were transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for their injuries. Safety belts were worn, but helmets were not. it is currently unknown if intoxicating substances were a factor.
This case remains under investigation at this time.
