KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Community groups trying to end gun violence in Kalamazoo plan a gathering at LaCrone Park from 6 to 9 Saturday night to seek solutions and opportunities to provide the community’s youth with alternatives to gangs and violence.
If it rains it will be held at the 2nd Baptist Church.

His family claims he was an innocent bystander who caught a bullet in the chest during a shootout at Norway and North Church Sunday night.
They claim an argument over fireworks exploded into a gunfight that Chief Jeff Hadley says was another example of the “stupidity” some residents display when they insist on settling their disputes with guns.
