LANSING (WKZO) -- The Governor says he will extend the Propane Emergency in Michigan, signing an Executive Order Friday.
While supplies are making it to Michigan, there are still shortages and the price has gone way up.
The state says the average price is $3.64 a gallon, up from $2.04 a gallon at this time last year, but there are reports of it selling as high as $5.60 a gallon.
State officials say dealers and their drivers have to go as far as Texas to find propane supplies and truck it all the way back.
The Attorney General is vowing to prosecute anyone who gets caught gouging.
