KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Blood donations have gone down in west Michigan because of last week's weather. Michigan Blood's Carolyn Wyllie says it's understandable that not many people could come by to donate when travel was so difficult, but the situation's left the organization with a low supply.
In a normal week, Michigan Blood might see 22 hundred donors, but last week, only about 800 came by.
Michigan Blood is asking anyone who has the time to think about giving. One blood donation can save up to three lives. To find out about donating to Michigan Blood, which supplies hospitals around the state, go to MIBlood.org .
