KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Two suspects have been arrested after crashing their black Chevy Tahoe into an unmarked police vehicle.
The two suspects had warrants out for their arrest, and one was a parole absconder known to carry a handgun. They were spotted pulling into the Marathon gas station in the 1100-block of Douglas Avenue around 4:40 p.m. Thursday, and when they spotted police they tried to flee, slamming into the police vehicle.
The suspects' vehicle pushed the other out of the way and a witness spotted a handgun being thrown from the vehicle on Alamo Avenue. The gun was recovered and the suspects' vehicle was found in the 3300-block of Huron Street near a home. Officers surrounded the house and eventually the suspects came out before being taken into custody. No one was hurt.
