DETROIT (WKZO) -- A recall of General Motors vehicles with faulty ignition switches is being doubled from earlier reports.
Officials now say 13 people have been killed and 31 crashes may be the result of the ignition failure. The recall will now include the Saturn Ion, Saturn Sky, Chevrolet HHR, and Pontiac Solstice models sold between 2003 and 2007
GM says heavy key chains could cause the switch to move to off position and shut down the engine. Drivers are advised to use just the ignition key until the problem is fixed.
