GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- The Winter of 2014 started early and has just kept blasting away at the Great Lakes States, letting up only briefly last week.
This week, meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids says its back into the deep freeze with temperatures Monday and Tuesday that will be 20 degrees below average.
By the end of the week, they say readings will be in the single digits 30 to 40 degrees below where they should be at this time of the year, and possibly setting some new record lows.
They say the Jet Stream has returned to the pattern that has persisted since late November, dragging down cold air from Canada, and the occassional Polar Vortex.
Bundle up, its not over yet.
