KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Reading Together, the community wide book club organized by the Kalamazoo Public Library, this year is focusing on two books at a time. Program coordinator Karen Santamaria says that, right now, the book club is urging people across Kalamazoo to read a couple of books that examine the way America eats.
"Tracy McMillin has written a book called The American Way of Eating: Undercover at Walmart, Applebee's, Farm Fields, and the Dinner Table," Santamaria told WKZO. "Related to that is Farm City: The Education of an Urban Farmer, written by Novella Carpenter."
Since 2003, people all across Kalamazoo have read and discussed the same books through the Reading Together program. You can find out more by following this link.
