LOWELL (WKZO) -- A New Mexico man who drove all the way to Michigan to test-fly an ultra-light plane is dead after that plane crashed on take-off at Lowell Airport.
Police say that 67-year-old Bryan Bowker had taken off and landed and was taking off again when the plane crashed.
His wife made the trip with him to Michigan.
The F.A.A. will investigate.
It’s the second crash of a light aircraft this month. Craig Ewing of Hastings died when the wing came off his plane over a corn field in Allegan County August 11th.
