SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP (WKZO) -- Cass County Deputies now say a man who was revived after a near drowning on Dewey Lake early Saturday afternoon remains in critical condition after he was air-lifted to South Bend Memorial.
They say the victim was swimming a life jacket out to his sister, who was having trouble in a Kayak.
That’s when 24-year-old Abdi Adan of Wheaton, Illinois yelled for help and then went under.
Boaters and residents mounted a rescue and managed to drag him to shore.
They began CPR.
EMT’s arrived and took over and got a pulse.
He was transported to a nearby field where the Chopper was waiting.
