VICKSBURG (WKZO) -- TV-3 is reporting that controversial Vicksburg Village Trustee Marc Boyer has been charged with transporting medical marijuana in a tin on the seat, instead of in the trunk as state law requires.
It’s a misdemeanor.
The 50-year-old Boyer had already been asked to resign from the Village Board, not for the marijuana or the criminal charge, but for a series of youtube videos charging current and past Village officials with corruption.
Other council members called the videos borderline slanderous when they asked him to resign on August 1st.
He says he won’t quit, but says he won’t be running for reelection, because of health issues. Those health problems are the reason he smokes medical marijuana.
