DETROIT (WKZO) -- A sex assault case involving a Detroit Tigers minor league pitcher has been postponed.
A judge has granted Evan Reed's request to delay a hearing on a sexual assault charge against him until late August. He's accused of assaulting a woman at the MotorCity Casino in Detroit in March and has been charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy says the 45-year-old woman Reed allegedly had sex with was incapacitated after drinking and unable to give consent. Reed's lawyer says the sex was consensual.
