KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Underway through August tenth, it's a major tennis event in Kalamazoo. It's time once again for the United States Tennis Association Boys 18 and 16 National Championship, which is taking place at Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo College. K College Men's Tennis Coach Mark Riley says they're expecting plenty of people to come out to watch some matches.
"The crowds are good," Riley told WKZO. "Our local people support this tournament. We're looking at a great, great field, and so we really expect a really big crowd next week."
Riley also says that they'll honor legendary coach George Ackers on Saturday. This is the 72nd year for the event in Kalamazoo. You can find out all about it at USTA.com.
