CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) - A story we first reported Monday gets even scarier. Michigan State Police say the Indiana woman they chased across southern St. Joseph County on Sunday with her abducted 5-year-old daughter on her lap was high on cocaine at the time.Dash cam video shows her extending her middle finger as she was being pursued west on U.S. 12 toward Constantine, where officers blew out her tires with stop sticks. It also shows her struggling with officers after she stopped her disabled car.
Aubrey Coy seemed disoriented at her arraignment, telling the judge she had no idea how she got to the courthouse. The 34-year-old who was wanted by authorities in Kosicusko County, Indiana has a long criminal history and now faces seven felonies in Michigan, including child abuse, possession of cocaine, obstruction of justice and others. She may also face more serious charges in Indiana where she had taken her daughter from a supervised visitation, violating court orders. She is being held on $150,000 bond.
