DETROIT (WKZO) -- A committee representing Detroit pensioners has subpoenaed records from the Detroit Institute of Arts while pension recipients are continuing to object to steep cuts in benefits. The pensioners rallied against the cuts while the DIA artwork is reportedly safe.

Funds from foundations earmarked to spare the art from being sold are reportedly in place to turn the DIA into a non-profit organization. However, an agreement between the pensioners and the museum must be reached first and it's not clear if that will happen anytime soon.
