TEXAS TOWNSHIP (WKZO) -- A building that served as Texas Township Hall for most of the 20th Century has been damaged beyond repair by a wayward driver who went off the road and into the old wood framed structure.
Fire Chief Mike Corfman says it was constructed around the turn of the last century and served as Township Hall until the 60’s
He says it was being renovated by someone planning to put in a brew pub.
He thinks the car hit a rock and began flipping, and flipped right thru the building, tearing out two of the four walls.
The driver, a woman from Grand Rapids, was belted in and protected by airbags and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
