HICKORY CORNERS (WKZO) -- A Michigan State University aquatic ecologist will be on hand for a discussion coming up on the damage done to the Kalamazoo River from the Enbridge oil spill in 2010. Doctor Stephen A Hamilton will be at the event set for October eighth at the WK Kellogg Biological Station in Hickory Corners to comment on the progress made with cleanup efforts since the spill.
Doctor Hamilton tells us that the clean up has actuallybeen largely successful. He notes that it cost nearly a billion dollars to reach this point, but the river is bouncing back nicely.
"Dessert with Discussion" will be at 7:30 PM on October eighth, and the public can find out about attending by calling 671-2015, or following this link.
