LANSING (WKZO) -- State Senator John Proos is telling southwest Michigan residents about a resource that's available to help them find broadband internet service. ConnectMI.org has information on high speed internet providers, and is also the information hub for the upcoming 2013 Michigan Broadband Conference at Michigan State University.
Senator Proos says that the conference will address the lack of broadband in some Michigan communities, and how it might be brought to those places. Proos says that high speed internet is critical to quality of life and economic growth.
www.ConnectMI.org is a public-private partnership between the Michigan Public Service Commission and Connected Nation. It works with local governments, businesses and residents to achieve the goal of increasing broadband service in underserved areas.
