Kalamazoo Literacy Council helping people prepare for the GED test

KALAMZOO (WKZO) -- The Kalamazoo Literacy Council is trying to sign as many people up as it can for its GED training program before the rules for the test change. The council's Michael Evans says that those looking to take the test only have so much time left to register so they can start studying up with the help of the organization.

Evans tells us that getting a GED is the first step that a high school drop out needs to take before he or she can start turning their life around. It prepares someone to move on to college, or a higherlevel of training. However, it can be tough to pass the GED test, and people who take it ought to get some help preparing.

You can get in touch with the Literacy Council of Kalamazoo at 343-8666. The website is www.KalamazooLiteracy.org.
