NASHVILLE, MICHIGAN (WKZO) -- A Barry County man is being held on 110-thousand dollars bond after deputies say he savagely beat his 63-year-old mother and then left her bleeding on the floor of her home on State St. in Nashville.
A neighbor heard Ellen Gross calling for help and came to her rescue.
She was rushed to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids where she was listed in serious condition.
Police found 41-year-old Jeremy Gross in Calhoun County and took him into custody.
He was charged with assault with intent to commit great bodily harm, a ten year felony, and ordered to stay away from his mother if he makes bail.
