ANN ARBOR (WKZO) -- It may be the last time for a while that Notre Dame plays at the Big House and the Wolverines made sure they regretted coming this time, beating the Irish 41 to 30.
They first played in 1887 and since then have become the first and second ranked in all-time winning percentages among college teams. There have been some epic battles between the two midwest schools, including the slim victory for Michigan the first time the two teams played under the lights.
A new deal between Notre Dame and the ACC means there is no room in their schedule for Michigan beyond 2014.
Over 110-thousand packed the Big House, beating the record set two years ago the last time the Irish played under the lights in Ann Arbor.
