LANSING, MI (WTVB) -The debt ceiling crisis is past, the budget extended and the nation saved from default, but that won’t prevent cuts to the food stamp program that were due to lapse.  It’s stimulus money that is finally running out.

Judy Putnam at the Michigan League for Human Services says Bridge Card users will see their monthly payments drop..about $36 for a family of four. Michigan will lose about $186 million next year because of the cuts.
