KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The suspected driver in a Kalamazoo hit and run case has been arraigned.
A hit and run incident on September 1st around 12:37 a.m. in the 600-block of South Westnedge left a female pedestrian hospitalized. Kalamazoo Public Safety officers found the victim in the roadway, but the vehicle had by then left the scene.
On October 18th, 24-year-old Wassim H. Hassoun was arraigned in 8th District Court, charged with a four-year-felony for leaving the scene of an accident causing serious injury. He has since bonded out of the Kalamazoo County Jail on a five-thousand dollar bond.
The victim in the case has since been released from hospital care.
