SHELBY (WKZO) -- Two teens from Van Buren County believed to have runaway to meet a man from the Grand Rapids area have been located.
Thirteen-year-old Jerica Springer and 14-year-old Myra Rodriguez left Lawrence High School Wednesday, and a farm owner who recognized the girls from a news broadcast found them in a migrant camp in the 4000-block of South 28th Avenue in Shelby. The girls are being returned to their parents.
The suspect in the case, 18-year-old Orlando Jiminez, is believed to be Rodriguez's boyfriend. More information on the case is expected to be released once authorities make contact with Jimenez.
