KALAMAZOO (WKZO)- Western Michigan hockey team got swept by Notre Dame this weekend falling tonight 3-0 to the Fighting Irish.
The game was scoreless after one period, but Notre Dame lit the lamp in the second period on a Thomas DiPauli gaol at 4:08.
Notre Dame added two more goals in the third period as Shayne Taker scored a power play goal at 0:57 and Kevin Lind added an empty net goal at 18:40.
The Broncos were out shot by the Fighting Irish 41-22. The Fighting Irish had nine power play chances to the Broncos four. Broncos goalie Frank Slubowski stopped 38 of the 40 shots he faced.
